“I have been interested in economics, geography and IT since my childhood. That is why I founded WIGeoGIS together with Zoltán Daróczi 30 years ago. I enjoy experimenting, trying out new things and creating added value for our customers with pragmatic solutions. In addition, I am grateful to be able to implement interesting projects from a wide variety of industries and areas with a great team and I look forward to every new task in which I can contribute my expertise.

Georg Magenschab, Partner and Managing Director of WIGeoGIS, studied business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and particularly focused on economic and social geography as well as business informatics. Afterwards, in 1993, he founded WIGeoGIS together with Zoltán Daróczi.
In his diploma thesis entitled “The Geographical Information System WIGeo-GIS” he presented use cases to show how geomarketing can be implemented in business processes and thus laid the foundation for modern geomarketing and business GIS, as it is commonly understood today.
Georg Magenschab is responsible for the IT Department at WIGeoGIS and looks after numerous customer projects with challenging and complicated issues that require special expertise.
