We always speak to the group or company management straight away because our software is used where expansion, strategic planning, new branches, etc. are involved. Zoltán Daróczi, Partner and Managing Director of WIGeoGIS, studied business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business in the 1980s and early 1990s and worked at the Institute for Economic Geography. There he was not only one of the first Austrians to use the Internet, but thanks to his professor Manfred M. Fischer, he also learned about something new in Europe: Business Geographics or “Geographical Information Systems” (GIS).
After graduating from the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Daróczi, who had long been enthusiastic about maps and had a passion for computers and IT, completed a university course in geoinformation technology at the Vienna University of Technology from 1991 to 1993. In 1993, the academically certified geoinformation engineer founded WIGeoGIS together with his university colleague Georg Magenschab.
Daróczi is responsible for the finances at WIGeoGIS, takes care of sales for WIGeoGIS Austria and, among other things, always handles any legal questions.
