WIGeoMaps are digital, georeferenced raster maps at various pre-generalised scales. The maps are derived from the MultiNet database of the navigation data provider TomTom and are available with blanket coverage for virtually all of Europe.
The implementation of WIGeoMap is recommended in GIS applications of all leader providers, deployment management systems or in the internet. Thanks to the large depth of information and the attractive layout of the maps, you gain the optimal orientation—at every scale.
For the D-A-CH region, as well as for many European cities, the scale of 1:5000 is also available. At this level of detail, the maps contain street number information; as of the 1:100,000 scale the topographical surface is depicted.
All scales are available by country or region at any extent desired. Personalised adjustment of the map projection, the map design, as well as the generation of specific image data formats are possible without any difficulty.
WIGeoMaps are suitable for all applications in which the presentation of detailed, comprehensive and precise background maps is necessary. It is thereby irrelevant whether you implement WIGeoMap in geographical information systems, deployment management systems or internet applications.
Whether you´re performing small-scale location and potential analyses or Europe-wide overview maps—with WIGeoMap you´ll be staging your results with perfect accuracy.
Depending on the area of application, WIGeoMaps is available in different variants: high resolution and in print quality for desktop GIS, space-saving and monitor-optimised for internet applications, and highly compressed in IMP format for mobile solutions.
Delivery can occur by country or as an excerpt for special project areas at any size. We would be happy to customise WIGeoMap to map projections, map colours selection and specification, and layout of your personal choice. Just ask us!
The updating of WIGeoMap occurs once per year. The basis of data processing is generally the March release of the TomTom MultiNet data.
